Katara Amphitheatre

Katara Cultural Village in Doha’s West Bay is a stand-out destination featuring theatres, concert halls and exhibition galleries. The focal point of the attraction, however, is the Katara Amphitheatre, which is a draw card for business groups looking for a stand out venue that can seat up to 5,000 people.

Built in the style of a classical Greek theatre, but with Islamic features woven into the design, the 3,275-square-metre beachside venue has played host to many of Doha’s most spectacular events since it opened in December 2011. Indeed, world-renowned stars such as Angela Gheorghiou, Roberto Alagna and Jeremy Irons have performed there. Visitors can also make the most of the surrounding attractions in the village.
