Oryx Rotana opens its doors in Doha
Rotana opened its first hotel in Qatar, Oryx Rotana this year. The 400-room property caters largely to business travellers and offers the latest high-tech facilities including nine fully-equipped meeting rooms with the most up-to-date audio-visual equipment, two ballrooms and a dedicated professional team on hand to aid in hosting business events and meetings. The hotel is conveniently situated close to Doha’s International Airport and minutes from the city centre, close to conference, entertainment and shopping facilities.
“We are delighted to get this project underway as it marks the beginning of a long and close relationship that we wish to share with the people and visitors of Doha,” says Joseph Coubat, area vice president - Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Lebanon. “We look forward to managing yet another Rotana member, while delivering premium hospitality. It also marks our foray into the hospitality industry, where we plan to be operating multiple properties in the coming years.”
A wide selection of delicious cuisine can be found at Oryx Rotana. A choice of five specialised F&B venues, will include: Sky Lounge, offering a tempting array of delicacies including rich chocolate truffles and tableside flamb- Crepe Suzette; Choices for daily international buffets; The Cellar for a fine selection of beverages and Mediterranean tapas; Jazz Club, exclusive jazz bar with live entertainment; and Splash, a pool bar serving snacks and light refreshments.
