King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre (KHBTCC)

Offering 25 meeting halls spread over three levels, complemented by large wrap-around terraces, The King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre (KHBTCC) is capable of accommodating events for up to 3,000 delegates and has played host to some of the world’s most prestigious NGOs.

Space

25 conference and meeting halls on three levels complemented by large wrap-around terraces, specifically designed to accommodate a full menu of events from workshops for 50 up to international conferences for over 3,000 people.

The three level centre comprises the Sea Floor, Ground Floor and First Floor, each offering a wide range of meeting options and flexible configurations.

Targeting various sub segments within the meeting and incentive industry, the cumulative 21,000 square metres of space can accommodate international conferences with an expected 3,000 plus guests; regional conferences for 1,000 or more people; local conferences for 500 plus guests; workshops and meetings for 50 and above; exhibitions with a footprint of 2,000 square metres and various social events with in excess of 500 guests.

At Sea Floor level the Dead Sea Halls one and two cover 625 square metres with theatre-style capacity for 700 people and banqueting for up to 850. The 768-square-metre lobby area, which is used as exhibition space, is also a popular banqueting option for 700 guests; and the West and South Terraces, which measure 950 and 2,200 square metres respectively, can accommodate 1,700 and 3,200 guests for large-scale functions.

The ground floor has a specially-designated VIP area with four dedicated lounges ranging from 23 to 129 square metres in size. The impressive Philadelphia Hall with 2,120 square metres of space is used for conferences of 3,000-plus as well as large functions.

On the first floor, there are six individual halls as well as two smaller terrace venues.

The Dead Sea resort area is home to a growing number of hotels, all offering a high quality of accommodation and complementary business and leisure facilities.

This is complemented by extensive state-of-the-art audio-visual services including multilingual translation capabilities in all major meeting rooms; plasma screens and a video conferencing system located in two of the halls.

Future

The second phase of the centre will include an entertainment centre with retail outlets, restaurants, coffee shops and other leisure services, a five-star hotel, VIP private villas, a golf course and an airstrip. The residential portion is already under development with some units expected to be delivered from mid-2010 onwards.
