Eventful opening for new InterCon Doha

InterContinental Doha - The City recently opened in Qatar’s capital adding to the range of meeting facilities on offer in the expanding Gulf State.

The property boasts an events centre set across two levels. It features a 1,015 square-metre pillar-free ballroom, accommodating up to 950 guests, four meeting rooms that can be separated into nine smaller breakout rooms and a business centre. All meeting rooms are equipped with the latest IT and videoconferencing aids and the hotel boasts its own team of meeting and events specialists.

The hotel boasts 302 rooms and 58 suites, as well as 176 luxurious Residence Suites including a range of one- to four-bedroom apartments.

InterContinental Doha - The City owner HE Mohamed bin Ajaj Al Kubaisi said the hotel would help cater to Qatar’s booming meetings and events industry.

 Facilities include six restaurants and two lounges, the Club InterContinental lounge on level 45 offers complimentary amenities such as Wi-Fi, a business centre and a private boardroom, plus the InterContinental Concierge lounge. Leisure spots include a rooftop swimming pool, a health and fitness club and steam and sauna rooms.
